Huge crowds are braving the weather in Knock this morning as Pope Francis lands in the town.
From early this morning, traffic reached tailbacks of up to 8km around Mayo as people made their way. One Twitter user posted a picture of traffic congestion as early as 5.30am…

Pope Francis will only be in Knock for a short time before flying back to Dublin for mass at the Phoenix Park later today.
Yesterday, he met with Leo Varadkar at Dublin Castle before parading the streets of Dublin in the Popemobile.
