Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run which injured two pedestrians in the Urglin Rutland area of Carlow Town.
According to Breaking News, the incident occurred at around 8.20pm yesterday evening.
Two pedestrians were struck by what police understand to have been a 4×4 vehicle, while out walking on the local road.
Upon striking the individuals, the driver fled the scene.
The two injured in the incident were a 59-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. The man was seriously injured the woman sustained minor injuries.
Both of their injuries are described as non-life-threatening. Both people are currently being treated in St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny.
