It’s a wet and windy one out there today and it looks like this miserable weather will be going on for a few days yet.
Twitter’s favourite weather expert, Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather, has given us an ‘early heads up’ for Monday and Tuesday, posting that ‘weather models show risk of another storm with heavy rain and strong winds. One to keep an eye on.’

Alan’s prediction aligns with Met Éireann’s forecast for Monday night, which says that it will become ‘wet and very windy in all areas Monday night, with southerly gales on coasts.’
Tuesday is described as ‘a wet and windy day, with heavy and persistent rainfall bringing a risk of flooding’ but Alan expects some light at the end of the tunnel later in the week. He shared another tweet that says ‘the weather models continue to show that a more settled spell is possible at the end of next week.’
