A very cold weekend is in store for the country this weekend as Met Éireann predicts a sharp drop in temperatures.
Saturday will be a clear and bright day with a chilly start with top temperatures of 10 to 13°
Temperatures will plummet to freezing on Saturday night with a chance of frost in places. Coastal areas will be slightly milder with patches of fog and drizzle.
Sunday will be slightly milder with the possibility of rain in northwest areas.
Today is set to be a much warmer day with top temperatures of 18°, but the chances of rain will increase towards this evening.
