It’s fair to say we were blessed with the weather over Easter weekend but like most good things in life, it’s all set to come to an abrupt end.
Thankfully, most of us are back in work for the expected downturn which will see ‘heavy and thundery downpours’ from later tonight. It looks like things will get worse before they get better with ‘heavy and prolonged rain’ on Thursday and high temperatures of 15 degrees.
If that doesn’t already fill you with the joys of life, the wet and windy weather will continue on Friday. Rain, ‘possibly turning heavy’, and a risk of ‘very strong and gusty winds’ at night is what we have to look forward to at the end of the working week.
As for the weekend, it’s not looking much better. There will be scattered showers and sunny spells but ‘a further spell of wet and windy weather is set to sweep across the country on Sunday’.
Sorry, summer gear. Back in the wardrobe you go. A more detailed outlook, if you dare to read it, can be found here.
