It's prime umbrella breaking weather.
Met Éireann have issued three new weather warnings over the next three days as Ireland continues to be battered by rain and wind coming into the New Year.
Storm Gerrit caused havoc throughout the country after Christmas and there seems to be no let up as we enter 2024.
According to the national forecaster, we can expect unsettled weather with rain or showers most days as the rough conditions are set to continue into January.

Three new weather warnings issued as rain and wind continues to batter Ireland
The first of the weather warnings issued is a Status Yellow rainfall warning for
Donegal, Leitrim, North Mayo and
Sligo on Friday, December 29.
The warning is in place from 6am - 9pm on Friday and includes "heavy rainfall leading to localised flooding"

The second warning is a Status Yellow wind and rain warning for
Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo and
Wexford.
The warning is in place from 2am to 11pm on Saturday, December 30 and, according to the forecaster, "southwest winds will be strong and gusty at times coupled with heavy rain and thundery showers."
Potential Impacts of the warning include, surface flooding, wave overtopping, loose debris, objects displaced and difficult travelling conditions.
The final warning issued by Met Éireann is a Status Yellow wind warning for
Clare, Cork, Kerry and
Limerick, valid from 11pm on Saturday, December 30 until 5pm on Sunday, December 31.
According to the forecast, "westerly winds veering northwesterly will be strong and gusty at times" and potential impacts include loose debris, objects displaced, difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping.
