Hope you all got good coats for Christmas, as windy weather is coming our way. While this week has been relatively mild after a few cold days last week, we should prepare ourselves for heavy winds with pretty strong gusts coming for us this week.
According to Met Éireann:
Today (January 10) will be mostly cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, but some good dry spells too. The best of any bright or sunny spells will be in the east. Mild, top temperatures of 9 to 12 C., in moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Tonight will be mild at first tonight with a little rain or drizzle here and there. But it will get windy and colder later in the night, with clear spells and showers developing, with some of the showers turning wintry on northern hills late in the night. Lowest temperatures of 3°C to 6°C. Strong and gusty westerly winds will develop tonight and will be up to gale force in northern and northwestern areas.
Showers becoming widespread this pm with the odd locally heavy burst.Very windy along Atlantic coasts, with strong and gusty Werly winds.

Winds of up to 32km/h with gusts of 59km/h have been reported. With particularly strong winds being reported in the north west.
Yikes.

So basically, we’re telling you to go home early, wrap yourself in a duvet and drink gallons of warm tea.
Otherwise, you could be blown away…
Sure you’re only little.
