You can donate to Black Lives Matter by watching this video even if you don't have money

There is a way you can donate to Black Lives Matter even if you don’t have the money. And that’s by watching a video on YouTube.

Zoe Amira, the account that uploaded the video, explains how it works:

“This video project was created to offer people a way to donate and financially contribute to #blacklivesmatter without having any actual money or going out to protest themselves.

“Investing in our future can be difficult for young people, so 100% of the advertisement revenue this video makes through AdSense will be donated to the associations that offer protester bail funds, help pay for family funerals, and advocacy listed at the beginning of the video.”

The link to the video has been circulating on social media and through WhatsApp, encouraging people to watch the video or even play it in the background without skipping the ads. The video can be found here.

Zoe writes, “Make sure to leave the ads running, repeat the video, and let people know about this easy way to help.”

In the video description, Zoe also includes a list of petitions viewers can click through to and sign.

People in Ireland have been finding ways to help the Black Lives Matter movement by donating to charities and causes as well as signing petitions. Find out more here.

On Monday, June 1, thousands gathered in Dublin to protest the killing of George Floyd and to support the Black Lives Matter Movement, marching from O’Connell Street to the US Embassy in Ballsbridge.

George Floyd’s autopsy report revealed that he died of asphyxiation after Chauvin held his knee on Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes. In a video circulating on social media, Floyd could be telling the officer that he couldn’t breathe.
