Ashford Castle is the only Irish hotel to be included on the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star ranking list, for the second consecutive year.
Announcing its Star Rating winners for this year, only one Irish hotel achieved a Five-Star ranking in the annual Forbes Travel Guide this year, with the prestigious accolade going to Ashford Castle in Cong, Co Galway.
The highest possible rating a hotel can achieve and the ultimate gold standard in hospitality, the hotel joins an elite group of luxury hotels around the world that have also earned the coveted rating.
Commenting on the exciting news, Niall Rochford, general manager at Ashford Castle:
