Ireland's best hotel spa... if this place wasn't on your bucket list before, you should probably add it in fairly lively.
Ashford Castle has been playing a blinder this year - nominated as one of the best honeymoon resorts in all of Europe, Condé Nast readers also ranked it within the top five
best resorts on a list of 30 luxury spots.
Not bad for a little spot Co Mayo, eh? Ok, maybe it's not so little but they're fairly weighty achievements all the same. Proving that good things definitely do come in threes, Ashford Castle has continued their winning streak by taking home the gold for 'Ireland's Best Hotel Spa 2020' in the
World Spa Awards - their fifth consecutive win.
Sharing the good news online, the team tweeted to say:
"We are delighted to share with you that The Spa has been awarded 'Ireland's Best Hotel Spa 2020' in the @worldspaawards for the 5th consecutive year!
"Congratulations to Michelle Ryan, Spa Manager, and your dedicated team for retaining this accolade in such a challenging year."

No easy feat under normal circumstances, the win is especially impressive given the hardships that the hospitality industry has faced so far this year.
A spa day at Ashford Castle sounds positively dreamy.
