While international travel is huge this year (just ask anyone in the queues at Dublin Airport) two summers of staycationing have proved that you can still get an instagrammable trip right here in Ireland. Wondering which road trips will do the most for your Instagram feed? Chill Insurance has done the research to find out.
After all, who doesn’t love being smug about a particularly picturesque snap, only to be able to say no, that’s not Norway or Iceland, but in fact Carlingford or Kerry?

Ireland’s 8 Most Instagrammable Road Trips

Road trips in Kerry took three of Ireland’s most Instagrammable spots, while scenes from the Burren dominated the platform overall, with 1,200 Instagram posts, and 62,000 platform engagement. Inishowen 100 has more Instagram posts than the Burren, with 1,700, but falls slightly with Instagram engagement of 57,400.

And if you’re looking for the spot that’s best value for money, the winner is Priest’s Leap and Caha Mountain Pass Scenic Loop Drive. With the highest mountain pass, third most cycle routes, as well as 105 affordable spots to eat, you can’t go wrong with a road trip there. In second and third place comes The Burren and the Ring of Kerry respectively. The rest of the spots are ranked in the above index.
