Ireland is chockablock with amazing sandy beaches and limestone caves, but one of the most dramatic settings of all is Murder Hole in Donegal.
This hidden cove is completely private, and to get here you’ll have to trek across dunes and through more than a few fields, but the view is well worth it.
Known locally as The Murder Hole after the grisly death of a young woman who fell from the cliffs in the 1800s (fell or pushed, local legends can’t decide), this is one of the best spots to discover in the country.
The beach itself is absolutely stunning…
