The Most Popular Place In Ireland To Celebrate New Year’s Eve In Has Been Revealed

Clubs absolutely jam packed like a squished tin of sardines, drinks spilled all over your brand new shoes, a colossal queue for the cloakroom and the inevitable long walk home when you can’t get a taxi – it’s no wonder so many people want to escape Dublin for NYE.

If you still haven’t made your mind up about where to go, Airbnb has revealed local insights that show where Dubliners will be travelling to this New Year’s Eve, and one Irish town in particular stood out. 

Galway came into first place for the Dubliner’s top choice of where to ring in the New Year 

With a beautifully lit-up Latin Quarter, delish restaurants and all the pubs and clubs your partying heart could ever desire, it’s no wonder Galway came out on top. 

Other Irish destinations that also made it into the top 10 are Dingle, Belfast and Castlebar. 

We’re pretty tempted to just book a last minute getaway and join in the fun in Galway…
