The Wild Atlantic Way has been named the most Instagrammed road trip in all of Europe, with the Ring of Kerry also featuring highly in a new study.
U Switch car insurance collated Instagram hashtags from around the world to find that the Wild Atlantic Way is the most Instagrammed road trip in Europe, with 1,373,838 hashtags. The Ring of Kerry came in third on the continent with 206, 798 hashtags with the Irish routes separated by Snowdonia in Wales with 882,141.
On a global basis, Route 66 in the U.S. is unsurprisingly the most Instagrammed road trip, with a whopping 1,908,149 hashtags followed by Big Sur Coast Highway in California with 1,422,501.

All we need now is inter-county travel to open up further so we can all take a few snaps at the Wild Atlantic Way again.
