Fancy hotels and cute Airbnbs are all well and good, but sometimes you want to stay somewhere a little bit different.Â

The Frying Pan Tower is about 30 miles off the coast of North Carolina, and has been transformed into ramshackle accommodation for thrill seekers.Â
The rooms are basic, to put it nicely, but the views of the sea and sunsets are incredible.
Guests can also enjoy activities like fishing, hammock-lazing, billiards, skeet shooting and golfing on the deck.Â
Amazingly, they also have wifi!Â
If you fancy a stay in this unusual spot you’re going to have to work for it, though – you can only get there by chartering a helicopter or hiring a boat.Â
