You can go moonlight kayaking in Cork and it looks so peaceful

Anyone for a bit of moonlight kayaking? Well, you can do that in West Cork.

Kayaking is great craic altogether. But moonlight kayaking under the stars? Sign us all the way up! Atlantic Sea Kayaking provides that exact experience in beautiful County Cork. By the looks of things, it’s absolutely exchanging.

We’re always on the hunt for unique activities and adventures to experience in Ireland, so we’re obviously mad about this one.

Operating from two locations in the county (Reen Pier and Lough Hyne), this excursion gives kayakers the chance to experience the magic of this corner of Ireland as they take to the water from dusk into darkness.

The trip promises to have you gasping at the unique surroundings and wildlife, whether that’s the sounds of seabirds coming in to roost, the sunset, the rising moon, the aromas of honeysuckle, the stars above or the pure serenity of being on the water at night.

The tour starts 2.5 hours before darkness and is suitable for beginners, although it is strictly over 18s only. All necessary safety and kayaking equipment provided and tours cost €75 per person.

To check availability and to book a slot, head to their website here.

Atlantic Sea Kayaking offers a wide range of other experience for those who want to take to the water, such as Cork City Harbour trips, a Wild Atlantic Way two-day adventure and more.
