We knew Ireland was in love with spice bags but this is insane.
According to projected figures released by Just Eat, this Saturday, March 18, is set to be one of the most popular days of the year for food delivery orders.
They expect to see a 20% increase in orders as the nations calls out for a cure for their Paddy’s Day shenanigans.
Based on year-on-year information from March 18 2015 and 2016, it is anticipated that the following will be ordered EVERY minute by Irish people this Saturday:
– 1 Spice Bag
– 2 Burgers
– 3 Pizzas
On top of that, every five minutes, someone will order a thai green curry.
The most popular time for ordering will be between 7 and 8pm (so just about when people are starting to get up then).
Speaking about the findings Just Eat Marketing Director, Edel Kinane said:
“Saturday March 18, following St Patrick’s Day is expected to be a big ordering day for Just Eat and based on our data we are anticipating a large spike in orders. It’s fantastic to see that consumers are continuing to Find their Flavour through experimenting with a diversity of options how occasions and sporting activity impact on consumer choices”.
