Do you want to go to the seaside?
I’m not tryna say that everybody wants to go.
I fell in love at the seaside.
1. Gatsby-style mansion — Howth, Dublin
As seen above, this house tucked away on Howth Hill is a stunner with panoramic views of Dublin Bay.
The house sleeps eight people and at €600 per night it works out at €75 each — if you’ve a special occasion coming up, keep this one in mind to experience living how the other half do.
However be warned that this is “not a suitable location for a hen or stag party” — fair.
2. Seaside chalet — Barna, Galway
This chalet is accessed via the host’s main house and is hidden away in a green garden which also has a large polytunnel.
The self-contained chalet can accommodate two people comfortably and you’ll be all set for exploring the small, seaside town of Barna with all of its restaurants and bars.
Prices start at €49 for one guest.
3. Penthouse — Dingle, Kerry
Smack bag in the centre of Dingle town you’ll find this dreamy penthouse that sleeps five. You’ll have the entire place to yourself for a total of €150 per night — a bargain.
A short walk to the harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants.
You’ll never wanna leave.
4. Poolbeg view home — Sandymount, Dublin
This massive house looks right out over Dublin Bay and has a stellar view of the Poolbeg Towers.
From €386 for six guests you’ll have great views, lots of places to stroll, with Sandymount and Ballsbridge only a stone’s throw away. But heads up — there’s a 7 nights minimum stay rule.
5. Seaside stone cottage — Wexford
This little beaut sleeps four people for €120 per night.
It’s only five minutes walk to a small beach in a scenic rural area.
You can go fishing, golfing, swimming, bird watching, yoga-ing, horse-riding and walking in the local area. Perfect getaway for families.
6. Helen’s Hideaway — Clifden, Galway
Lovely two bed, two bath home on Clifden Harbour.
Only two minutes walk from Clifden Town Square with supermarket, restaurants, shops and pubs.
“Helen’s Hideaway is very secluded and the everchanging harbour landscape (it’s tidal) shall soothe your mind.”
7. Luxury ocean-view lodge — Horn Head, Donegal
This is a clear winner in our eyes — just LOOK at those views.
Tucked into the cliffs of Donegal’s most dramatic peninsula rests this tranquil cottage retreat. Out of this world.
From €98 per night for two guests.
