For many having their own castle would be a dream. While you can rent rooms in castle hotels all across Ireland, that isn’t quite the same as having your own place.
Well thanks to Airbnb, now you can rent an entire castle and bring all your friends along. Blackwater Castle is located just a 5-minute walk from the busy heritage village of Castletownroche in Cork, set on a 50-acre wooded estate with private river and 10,000 years of history.
It says they take from 16-25 guests, which would make it the perfect place to get away for a work outing or even a small wedding.
The pricing might seem steep (€2,500 for 24 hours. €3,000 for 3 days/2 nights. €4,000 for 4 days/3 nights), but if you split that between 25 of you it wouldn’t break the bank and it’d make for one hell of an experience.
Time to round up some mates and pretend you’re royalty.
