British Station Radio X has declared that a “big Oasis announcement” is coming this evening, something that is sure to get fans of the Mancunian band excited.
Oasis reunion rumours never seem to go away, despite the Gallagher brothers’ constant jibes at each other, and Radio X’s announcement is sure to have hopeful fans wondering if their dreams have finally come true.
While Liam always appears more open to burying the hatchet, his older brother Noel seems to be a lot more reluctant to get back on stage with his exuberant sibling. To a cynic, it would appear quite unlikely that Noel has had a sudden change of heart but fans are entitled to live in hope.
Of course, any kind of on-stage reunion throughout 2020 seems massively outside the realms of possibility due to the Covid-19 situation but is there scope for a reunion gig in 2021? Perhaps there’s a new album on the way? Or maybe (I said maybe) it’s all going to be an anti-climax and Radio X are just announcing a weekend of special Oasis programming.
