If you managed to stay off the internet yesterday then chances are you haven’t seen the viral Garda Jerusalema dance video that’s been shared far and wide.
It all started when the Swiss police challenged our very own Gardaí to perform a routine to to the song Jerusalema by South African DJ Master KG and to say our lads gave it a decent go would be an understatement.
The original Garda tweet that featured the video has been liked over 36,000 at the time of writing and you haven’t managed to watch it yet, here it is in all its glory…
We have stepped up to the Swiss police @fedpolCH #JerusalemaChallenge. Gardaí across Ireland answered the call to give the public we serve a lift in these challenging times. #StayTogether #homeStaySafe pic.twitter.com/sbLdkk54hB

Now that the Gardaí have done their bit, it’s your turn. The public are being invited to send in their own clips of themselves taking on the challenge. All your have to do is post your own take to social media along with the hashtag #GardaJerusalema and your moves could end up sweeping across the nation just like our boys and girls in blue.
Now that An Garda Síochána stepped up to the challenge, the public now have the floor. So making sure to stay home and in your bubbles. Post your challenge using #GardaJerusalema we want to see what you can do while staying safe. #GardaJerusalema #staysafe #HereToHelp
