Irish Fans Left Their Mark On One Of Copenhagen’s Most Famous Tourist Attractions

They came, they saw, they conquered. After much build-up, the Irish invasion of Copenhagen is now over. The Republic Of Ireland football team left the Danish capital with valuable 0-0 ahead of the return leg in Dublin on Tuesday. 

The below video is just one example of the craic that was had between the two sets of fans last night while earlier on, some Irish supporters set up camp outside a lingerie shop. 

There would have been a few sore heads traveling back to Dublin this morning but one member of the Irish fanbase ensured they wouldn’t be forgotten by planting the tricolour on Copenhagen’s iconic Little Mermaid statue. 

This picture was posted on Twitter today by Irish Olympic badminton star Scott Evans.
