Roy Keane has signed up for RTE’s Comic Relief night

Roy Keane has signed up to take part in RTE’s Comic Relief night which is due to be screened on Friday, June 26.

The Irish Sun reports that the Corkman will ‘send up his own grumpy reputation in a sketch,’ citing a source as saying “We’re thrilled to get Roy on board. We don’t want to give away the surprise of what he’s going to film for us, but safe to say it’s a comedy night and Roy has a great sense of humour, especially when it’s for a good cause.”

Keano is no stranger to making people laugh, with his razor-sharp barbs in the Sky Sports studio regularly having his fellow pundits slapping their thighs and/or shuffling in their seats. He also made his official comedy debut in The Young Offenders last year, chancing his arm on getting a fish supper.

Roy will just be a small part of what should be a busy night for RTE with the return of Zig and Zag also confirmed. You can find out who else will be involved here.
