Yes! You read that right. Sinead O’Connor might be appearing on the next series of First Dates.
On Sunday, Sinead O’Connor revealed that her daughter had signed her up for a date on the popular reality show.
She took to Twitter to announce: “My daughter just completed an application for me for First Dates.”
The Nothing Compares 2 U singer did not specify whether she meant the RTE version of the show or its Channel 4 counterpart, which shoots in the United Kingdom.
Applications for First Dates Ireland opened just before Valentine’s Day, with a call put out to hopeful singletons to get in touch.

Those who want to appear on the show as a background dater can also apply, although surely hiding one of Ireland’s most famous women in the background would be a bit of an unusual move.
Earlier this week, O’Connor was confirmed to perform at All Together Now this summer, joining the likes of Lauryn Hill and Iggy Pop on the line-up.
It all seems to be going on for O’Connor, who only appeared on The Tommy Tiernan show earlier this month and gave a terrifically entertaining and compellingly honest interview to the comedian.
