Christmas ads have always had a reputation for playing to people's emotions and that can definitely be said of this year's offerings - many of which have left us more than a little teary-eyed. From Disney to John Lewis to SuperValu, all the big 'uns are at it and An Post has just come out with their own festive edition too.
Celebrating cherished Christmas memories from years gone by, this year's advert tells the story of how seasonal traditions have the power to unite generations... even more so this year, when many families may not be able to come together as they usually would.
With festivities likely to look a little different in 2020, An Post is highlighting the importance of staying in touch with loved ones, showing that even the simple act of sending a Christmas card can mean the world to someone far away.
Commenting on the new ad, Julie Gill, Commercial Director at An Post said:
"At An Post know the sheer joy and delight that a Christmas card coming through the letterbox brings for so many and this campaign highlights how, even the smallest of gestures, can conjure the happiest of memories for many. While this Christmas will be different to what we’re used to we want to shine a light on the happy memories that have already been made through the years and the power they have to carry us through to all the great Christmases that are yet to come."
