Paul Mescal appears to be the busiest man in Ireland at the moment with TV and film projects being racked up left, right and centre.
Not content with being the country’s number one heartthrob after starring in Normal People, Paul Mescal fans will be getting plenty more opportunities to see him in action over the next while. Earlier this month, the trailer for his upcoming short film Drifting was released and now we can all get a glimpse at a TV show he will be starring in called The Deceived.
Created by Derry Girls writer Lisa McGee and her husband Tobias Beer, the series will star Mescal along with Emmet Scanlon of Peaky Blinders and The Fall fame. There’s also room for Lisa’s Derry Girls alumnus Louisa Harland, otherwise known as Orla in the hit Channel 4 comedy.
The Deceived is a crime thriller that will be shown on Virgin Media One and Channel 5 and it looks dark, a little bit creepy but mostly fairly enthralling. You can get a taster in the preview below…
