Guide To 5 Star Dining In Copenhagen

louisejohnston

If there’s one thing Copenhagen do very well (apart from design) it’s food. In case you weren’t aware, the food scene here is bursting with Danish delights. We’re also aware that there is literally so much choice on so many scales in this city but sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself. And if you consider yourself a foodie, we urge you to book a trip to this incredible city and dine like a king and experience all the top notch establishments on offer.

So here are our favourite fine dining restaurants (in no particular order)…

Höst

Lovechild of the restaurant chain Cofoco, Höst stays true to Scandinavian style with both their stunning interiors and their carefully crafted foods. The atmosphere is relaxed despite their menu being uber competitive. This place will not disappoint.

Den Røde Cottage

This quant restaurant is quite the experience. This little gem is tucked away in a forest about 15 minutes from the city centre. Make sure you make a reservation well in advanced as this small, 20 seater restaurant is always packed to the brim. You’ve a choice of three to eight courses on the menu which changes monthly to keep in line with seasonal produce. This is one Michelin-star restaurant you have to try at least once in your lifetime.
