Comedy Gold – Lidl’s Response To Rumours About Scam That’s Circulating Is Hilarious

Darragh Berry

As a nation, we felt like we got to know Lidl as a person a lot more following the looting of their shop in Tallaght.

Despite such an horrendous attack taking place, the people behind their Social Media account still found the time to have a joke about the situation, replying “been better” after a member of the public asked them if “u ok, hun?

Whoever is behind their online accounts is always on fire with comments and replies and this weekend’s was no exception.

A warning was sent around to tell people about a text which looked to be from Lidl saying that a “big surprise package is waiting for you” before giving you a link to follow to see where said package was.

The message looked dodgy and it turns out it had no affiliation with Lidl whatsoever and that it was, infact, a scam.

Well, just to double check, a member of the public posted on Lidl’s page asking if anybody else had received this message and, as usual, Lidl’s response was top notch.

A very apt response to give, especially after the weekend that was in it. We wonder how many people sent a message like this at Easter.
