The residents of Dublin have the highest level of disposable income, according to new CSO figures.
People in the capital had an average of €24,431 in 2016, while the county with the next highest was Limerick with €21,979. Kildare (€20,860) was the only county above the national average of €20,638 with Wicklow (€20,174) just below it. The county with the lowest disposable income was Donegal with €15,892.
Outside Dublin, the regions with the highest average were the Mid West (€20,306), the South East (€19,387), the South West (€19,784) and the Mid East (€19,911).
