Yoghurt Sold In Several Irish Stores Recalled Due To Ingredient Mistake

Darragh Berry

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a recall of a yoghurt brand sold in Irish shops because of an ingredient mistake.

The food company CO YO specialises in yoghurts and ice cream made with coconut milk rather than cows milk.

However, certain tubs of CO YO dairy free yoghurt have been recalled after traces of dairy were found in them

Only batches with use by dates of February 23, March 2, 9 and 16, 2018 have been affected.

The message on the Food Safety of Ireland’s website reads: “CO YO Coconut Milk Yoghurt Alternative is labelled as dairy free, however traces of milk were found in an ingredient.

“This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk.

“All batches currently on the market are affected and are being recalled.”

If this is in your fridge, you need to return it immediately.
