New €8M Retail Area At Dublin Airport Opens

Good news for frequent flyers - a brand new €8 million retail area has opened at the futuristic Terminal 1 in Dublin Airport today. The Loop will showcase the best in Irish and international brands giving passengers a huge array of choice and quality before they take off.

There's no more than 18k sq ft of retail space which took into account passenger suggestions and over 18months to complete bringing a duty free service that rivals some of the best in the world.

Paul Neeson, Director of Retail at Dublin Airport has this to say:

“This new retail area was truly designed by our customers. Extensive customer research from the outset and indeed throughout the design process has driven the retail concept to deliver what our Irish and international customers really want from The Loop.”

The development includes new and refreshed outlets such as the award-winning Irish Whiskey Collection (with over 365 global whiskey brands in stock), Candy Cloud a vibrant new confectionery concept created in Ireland and the Wine Goose Chase, which features wines with an Irish provenance from around the world. They've also revamped the perfume and cosmetics area, which now plays host to Ireland’s largest collection of fragrances and a number of Irish exclusives which are between 15-20% cheaper than downtown.

The new retail area will serve a growing number of customers at Dublin Airport, as passenger numbers increased by 8% to 21.7 million last year. That growth is set to continue into this year, with 20 new services being launched at Dublin Airport during 2015. Another excuse to book a flight to avail of the great deals in T1...
