Beloved Restaurant In Cork Closes After 26 Years

katedemolder

Cork city’s popular pizza and ice cream restaurant, Gino’s on Winthrop Street has closed after 26 years in business.

The venue first opened during the summer months of 1990, as a sister venue to a similar pizza restaurant in Waterford.

A sign was put up in the store, saying they were sad to be finished in Cork, but thanked their customers for all of their service.

The chain already has stores in Belfast, Dublin and Galway – and their eighth location will be taking Gino’s place, expecting to open in January.
