Ireland’s first Museum of Time has opened up today

What’s the bets John Joe Brennan has something to do with this?

The city of Waterford has today opened the doors to Ireland’s National Museum of Time which is fully dedicated to clocks and watches dating back hundreds of years. The horological museum can be found at a refurbished church at Greyfriars in Waterford’s Viking Triangle.

Holding more than 600 items across two floors, many of which were donated by David Boles and Colman Curran, two of Ireland’s most prominent horologists. As well as that, there are pieces from around the world, including the US, UK, France, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan.

We all know that John Joe single-handedly made horology cool on the 2009 Late Late Toy Show so the museum is sure to attract plenty of visitors in no time – pun intended.
