Stating in an interview with Business Insider that burpees and skipping rope are great because they get your whole body moving and you can do them in doors and all year round.
To keep your body at its peak physical fitness level you need to keep building strength to combat your body's natural muscle mass loss. Lifting weights and interval training are good also but burps and jumping rope are the real deal, building up endurance and strength all at once.
