And I don’t mean it in a unique, idyllic boarding school-themed type staycation way.
In the latest instalment of housing hell in Ireland, you can rent a single “bedroom” in an abandoned school in New Ross, Wexford for €275 a month.
On the off chance that you’re thinking ‘wow, an old school could actually be converted to create a beautiful living space with a bit of work’, here’s a quick look at what’s on offer.

Not only have the rooms not been converted, I’d be surprised if the milk has even been taken out of the staff room fridge since the last time this building was in use. The chalkboards are literally still on the walls, above a very questionable looking sofa bed.

The ‘bathroom’ is very clearly the same one that was used by the 5th and 6th class boys who last roamed these halls – no evidence of a shower or bath, but can we interest you in coat hooks for 20+ pupils instead?
The room was shared earlier today by Twitter Page Crazy House Prices (your one stop shop for depressing rental properties in Ireland), but has since been deleted by daft.ie where it had been listed.
