This Is What People Around The World Eat When They Are Drunk

Lots of weird things happen the body when you get drunk – including a changing personality and finding all sorts of people attractive that you wouldn’t normally. 

One thing that is sure to happen to everybody the world over though is huge pangs of hunger and the diet going out the window. 

We thought we’d have a look around the world to see what people eat when they are drunk and we have to say we like what we see…

1. Ireland – Spice Bags

2. Germany – Currywurst

A sausage with curry sauce and chips. Sounds unusual but the Germans swear by them. 

3. England – Doner Kebabs

Come with as much meat wedged into them as possible. The staple food of the nation late at night. 

4. Canada – Poutine 

Now being eaten in trendy restaurants around the world but poutine is a Canadian staple when they get on a few beers.

5. America – Hamburgers

Nothing meats a good burger and the Americans have been onto that secret for years. Come in all shapes and sizes but “In And Out” and “Five guys” are a good shout.

6. Greece – Souvlaki 

Meat and chips wrapped in bread with sauce. What more could you possible want when drunk.

7. Belgium – Sandwich With Kipbap

A sandwich loaded with chips in the biggest roll you have ever seen. Usually involves some ends of meat and a spicy sauce.

8. Thailand – Fried Chicken

Crispy, juicy and crucially served from street vendors when you need it most.

9. Mexico – Tacos 

To be honest tacos taste good at any time of the day but like everything they are even better when drunk.

10. Japan – Ramen

Fatty stock, loads of noodles to suck up and tasty meat or fish. The dream.

11. Italy – Porchetta sandwich

A sambo with some of the tastiest pork and filling you will ever have in your life.

12. India – Bhurji-Pav

A street food of scrambled egg, spices and vegetables always served with some sort of bread.

13. Taiwan – Hujiao Bing

A bun that is often cooked at the side of the road and stuffed with anything from pork to beef.

14. Brazil – Acaraje

A deep fried fritter that often involves shrimp which can’t be good for you but which is full of flavour.

15. China – Chuan’r

Various types of meat with tons of seasoning and BBQ’d for maximum flavour. 

16. Scotland – Munchie Box

Comes in all shapes and sizes and with all sorts of fillings but everything in here is sure to be bad for you yet taste amazing.

17. Iran – Persian Pizza

Quite similar to original pizza but with a thicker base, less sauce and more meat.

18. Czech Republic – Smazeny Syr

Basically a seriously cheese packed sandwich that is breaded and deep fried. 

19. Australia – Pies

Topped with mashed potato and sometimes peas. Lots of tomato ketchup also involved.

20. South Korea – Gamjatang

A delicious soup made with neck bones of pork and sizzling hot served with tons of vegetables and often noodles.

21. Philippines – Sisig 

Loads of meat chopped up (Often pig’s face) and mixed with chopped liver and eggs.
