The Tastiest Three-Minute Summer Salad Ever

Ingredients
  • 1 Packet parma ham or prosciutto
  • 1 Packet Buffalo mozzarella
  • 1 Bag Spinach
  • Couple of very ripe peaches
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Good olive Oil
  • 1 packet cherry tomatoes

Have you noticed that in a bit of sun your appetite completely changes? It’s the reason those Mediterranean folks look way better than us, are healthier and live longer.

Turns out digesting big hunks of meat, deep fried sausages and creamy sauces is a lot worse for the body that having a few tomatoes with olive oil for lunch. Who would have guessed?

Now the problem with most salads is that a) they don’t fill you up and b) they are incredibly fucking boring to eat. I always feel cheated. So what I’ve come up with here is the tastiest salad you will ever eat, it’s ready in less than five minutes and – crucially – it fills you up. You genuinely won’t believe how tasty this is but it goes rely on the quality of ingredients so don’t skimp. Instructions

Step 1

Don’t even try and make this dish if the peaches aren’t ripe. The supermarkets will try and screw you over with rock hard peaches that will take about a week to ripen, but they should be soft to the touch. Cut around the stone in the middle and get all the flesh you can.

Step 2

Slice the cherry tomatoes in half. Not fucking rocket science.

Step 3

You need to use the best of the best mozzarella. It will come in a bag full of water and the key here is that it is soft to the touch. Spend a little extra here; if you use that shit stuff that looks and tastes like rubber, you’re fucked before you start. Splash out a little and buy the most expensive one.

Step 4

If the mozzarella is good you won’t need a knife or anything. Pull it apart and it will literally shred to pieces itself.

Step 5

Rip the parma ham in to nice thin shreds. Again no need for a knife or any fancy skills here.

Step 6

Place all the ingredients in to a large bowl.

Step 7

Add the spinach into the bowl as well. Give it a quick wash if it’s not some of that fancy pre-washed stuff.

Step 8

Pour a small amount of balsamic vinegar into a glass.

Step 9

Add about twice as much olive oil and beat the shit out of it with a fork. This is your dressing.

Step 10

Pour it in to the bowl. Now this is the delicate part. Pretend your are cradling your newborn baby while you mix the ingredients together. You don’t want to end up with a load of mush. Gently make sure all the ingredients are combined and coated in dressing.

Step 11

And there you go! In less than five minutes, you have possibly the most gorgeous salad you will ever eat.
