There’s A New Phone Scam Doing The Rounds – And It’s Pretty Clever

If you get a call from an unknown number over the next few days, you might want to think twice before answering. 

A new phone scam is doing the rounds – and it’s a bit smarter than some of the others, because it looks like it’s an Irish number at first glance. 

Though it starts with ‘087’, the calls are actually originating in Bosnia. 

If you answer or call back, you will be asked to hold while they redirect you to a more expensive number and your credit will be drained or a charge will be added to your phone bill. 

People have reported getting scam calls from 087 65560811, 087 65563769, 087 65609962 and other Bosnian numbers.
