Croke Park could be undergoing a “world-class” transformation after this season’s finals.
Included in the renovations are a National Irish Handball and Community Centre, the reconstruction of Sackville Avenue, new housing, and a new entrance to the stadium.
The GAA and Irish Handball Council Sports Centre have struck a deal in order to end the long-running dispute between Croke Park and the Handball Council. The plans also aim to reduce the pressure on the surrounding streets during the match days.
According to Independent.ie, planning permission and other approvals are yet to be sought for the proposal.
Below are artists impressions of the proposed development to the national stadium.
