Seamus Coleman regularly makes the nation proud both on and off the football pitch and another example of his generosity has come to light today.
In the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, Seamus Coleman has donated €20,000 towards ‘Feed The Heroes’, a group which has been set to deliver food to frontline staff during the outbreak.
The Ireland captain’s donation is just a portion an incredible €304,000 raised in seven days at the time of writing. The GoFundMe page was set up by Cian O’Flaherty who has been dropping food donations into staff at various hospitals with the aid of some helpers.
Among the heroes we dropped into last night were the ICU team at Beaumont Hospital. Last night we went through €300,000 in donations. Thank you all for you incredible support. We're here to #feedtheheroes for as long as the emergency lasts. https://t.co/w132Ee2nIp pic.twitter.com/TN3ziYmfyf

Like everyone else’s contribution, Coleman’s donation is sure to give the cause a massive boost and if you’d like to help out you can do so via this link.
It’s not the first time that Seamie’s generosity has shone through, whether it’s helping out charitable causes or just being a decent bloke who always has time for his fans – as this heartwarming story will testify.
He’s not the only Ireland international to get involved with Feed The Heroes either, with Keith Andrews also donating €5,000 out of his own pocket towards the cause.
Keep up the good work, fellas.
