This is How Many Students Got Full Marks In The Leaving Cert Today

Ah, the Leaving Cert. The ultimate test of a teenager’s ability to memorise lines from old poetry and maths equations they’ll never use.

Putting the cynicism aside for a sec, a hell of a lot of hard work is put in by students all over the country and while, sadly, some will left disappointed by their results today, others are jumping for joy. But how many supremely gifted youngsters ended up with full marks?

Well, according to the Irish Independent, SEVEN students around Ireland are celebrating the incredible achievement of gaining six eight H1s (pretty much the equivalent of 600 points back in our day).

While this is a decent number, it’s actually down from last year when a whopping 13 students got full marks.

Well done to all involved. No go out and enjoy yourselves (responsibly)!
