Two Irish tourists are reported to be among the passengers on board a boat that exploded in Bali earlier today.

According to The Guardian, two people have died and up to twenty injured in the explosion, including nationals from South Korea, Australia, Great Britain, Germany and Portugal.

The two Irish nationals are believed to be unharmed and police have not yet determined the cause of the explosion.

However, it has been speculated that the blast may have been sparked by a faulty battery.

Bali is a popular destination for Irish tourists, particularly expats living around Southern Asia and Australia.
