Brollies At The Ready - It's Going To Be A Cold And Wet Weekend

With Spring just around the corner, we were hoping that this dull, wintery weather was going to come to an end. However, it looks like the cold days are going to continue a little longer.

A status-yellow snow and ice warning was issued this morning for the country, and it seems the dreary weather is going to carry on into the weekend.

According to Met Éireann, Saturday is set to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain in many areas across the country, with temperatures ranging between 9 and 12 degrees.

Sunday will be very cold with sunny spells and wintry showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow with a risk of thunder.

Sunday night will see wintry showers continuing with accumulations of snow, frost and icy in places.
