While 2016 will be long-remembered as one of the worst years in history, it’s been one heck of a year for Conor McGregor.
And last night he won the prestigious RTÉ Sport Sportsperson Of The Year award. He spoke to RTÉ interviewer Claire McNamara about the year he describes as the “culmination of [his] life’s work”.

And he wasn’t the only one who won big last night, the O’Donovan brothers picked up the award for RTÉ Sport Team of the Year.
