Trains are experiencing “significant delays” of up to 75 minutes after a train hit a metal bar on the track on the 8:10am Newbridge to Heuston line near Sallins, Kildare.
Update: trains to Heuston now delayed 50-75 mins, trains from Heuston up to 40 mins following train striking obstruction on line earlier. Delays continue to ease.

The 6.10 Galway to Dublin train had to operate as a single line and customers were transferred after Sallins.
Irish rail has said delays continue to ease.
