This Irish Phone Network Is Down And It's Unsure When It Will Be Back

Hundreds of thousands of customers could possibly be left without network coverage for a long time.

Eir Customers have taken to social media to complain about the coverage on the network with several customers stating that they can't make or receive phone calls or text.

Eir has confirmed that there is an "ongoing issue with the network" and that their technical team is currently working on it.

"We are aware that some customers are currently experiencing issues with mobile coverage in various locations throughout the country. This is affecting customers when making calls," they said in a statement.

"This is currently under investigation and we hope to have a resolution very soon.

In the last hour alone (3pm to 4pm) there has been over 500 complaints according to about Eir coverage.
