Electricity Bills Nationwide Are Set To Increase From October

clodagh

Electricity bills in Irish households will increase by approximately €20 from this coming October.

The Commission for Energy Regulation has announced the Public Service Obligation Levy – that’s charged to all electricity customers, no matter the provider – is going up over 30%, according to the Irish Examiner.

It’s thought the money gained from this increase will be used to help increase renewable energy in the country.

The new levy will come up to just over €90 each year.

The news will be a tough pill to swallow for houses nation-wide as people struggle to pay their bills already.
