Attention Tree Huggers – Volunteer Tree Planters Are Needed to Create A Native Woodland

katedemolder

Love trees? Love animals? Love the outdoors?

Then this event is most definitely the one for you.

The Native Woodland Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to the protection of Ireland’s rare native and ancient woodland. The Trust itself achieves this by setting up woodland reserves around the country, such as the Girley reserve, County Meath.

Sounds like something you’re into?

Then get on down to the Native Woodland Trust volunteer day on Saturday December 3 at the NWT Girley Woodland, Girley Bog.

Volunteers have already planted thousands of native trees to create important habitat for woodland wildlife.

Buuut, they need more volunteers to join them on Saturday 3 December to keep up the tree planting momentum.

They provide everything, you just need to have strong footwear, outdoor clothing and a sunny disposition. Girley Bog is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours and get some fresh air and light exercise, and is a great spot to bring the kids.

This event is weather dependent – so bear that in mind. And until then, happy gardening!
