Four men have been arrested following an incident in which one man was stabbed.
The man, who is believed to be in his 30s, was stabbed at an apartment on French Church Street, according to the Leinster Express.
The man has since been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
His injuries have been described as ‘non life-threatening’.
The four men, who range between their 20s and 40s, were taken to Tullamore and Portlaoise Garda stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaà are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.Â
