She came, she saw, she conquered.
It looks like Storm Ali will be heading away from Irish shores this evening but not before she’s left a fair amount of destruction in her path. But what will become of us once she departs? What will we all talk about?
Luckily, the nature of Irish weather means that there’s always some sort of bad news on the horizon and the remainder of this week is no different.
A Met Éireann forecast states that the weather will ‘remain unsettled for the rest of this week, with strong winds and heavy rain at times’.
Thursday will see ‘heavy and persistent rain in Munster and south Leinster’ while scattered showers on Friday will lead to stronger bouts of rain on Saturday.
Quite ominously, Sunday’s forecast already contains ‘marked uncertainty’ but ‘current indications suggest a wet and windy start to the day, improving later’.
